Dose calculation in nuclear medicine for internal organs using Gamos NMGUI software

Accurately calculating the dose for patients in cancer treatment is a crucial task. Currently, there are many methods as well simulation software calculation, most of which have certain limitations terms flexibility, ease use, and error organ’s borders when at voxel level using traditional Monte Carlo method. However, GAMOS developers implemented an application specifically nuclear medicine dosimetry - Gamos NMGUI. This simplifies calculation process with just few buttons. The addition “parallel geometry” utility eliminates boundaries, resulting more optimal dosesfor patients. results S values ICRP phantoms NMGUI show good agreement calculated by Stephanie Lamart et al. doses boundaries some organs (Gallbladder Wall, Stomach Heart Urinary Bladder Wall) method has deviations up to 26% (heart wall) compared MC shows need improve parallel geometry technique.
